Knob Tail Help

hey all I noticed one of my geckos chewing on his foot tonight and was wondering why he may be doing it? cant be from hunger as he is well fed (missus makes sure he eats his crickets) he would bite 1 toe and pull away? is this normal? (pic only taken for reference)

Check its toes for retained shed or injury.

hey hasnt shed yet since i got him could it just be the start of that? ill check for any injury's too
