Adolescent Female Yellow Leatherback Bearded Dragon.

No Hoax, there are others who have seen the animals in question in the flesh and others via multitudes of photo’s. they are technically Leatherbacks. They Were NOT a production of inbreeding, rather a freak genetic mutation, which so far, has no side effects.

Leathers are only recently popping up over Ausitralia, VERY few. Heres one of them who does seem to have the Genetic scale formation Default, that passes down through each clutch. A portion of siblings also had the reduction in tubercles, to varying extent.

Given Below is the animal for sale, a sibling showing more advance signs of scale reduction, and a normal bearded dragons back to show in comparison.

The animal for sale (she is larger then this now) Nearing 5 months of age?

the animal for sale is very much healthy, has a raging appetite and has been going through growth spurts. Loves her crickets and veg and greens. Spoilt rotten.
The buyer MUST be Ethical with there breeding decisions. It is Possible to outsource linage and further the linage or reduction, and quantity of leathers without inbreeding, but be sensible, ethical and consider ALWAYS the health, safety and happiness of the animals in question..
Adult cream male who this season through a leather is also available in my other thread. Unrelated animal, perfect ;)

Just to clear the air.

a leatherback is a reduction of tubercles, the scales on her back are much smaller and smooth.

and a silkback is a total loss of tubercles, and scales. a 'scaleless.' this morph occurs when two leatherbacks are bred together. 25% of the clutch will be scaleless, 50% leather 25% normal. or so we've seen overseas.

Grapevine has Thorns!!

stuffed her face with crickets today, She's a high energy fiesty little dragon.
