life expectansy of water dragons

    just a quick question how long do water dragons live for eastern and gipsland and what is there optimun breeding age example 3 years to 9 years

    My big boy is around 19 yrs.old he was a tiny hatchling when I bought him...he produced many clutches with his wife until she escaped when a storm blew the avairy door open :(

    There have been cases of males living for 50+ years in captivity although I suspect most wouldnt make to half that.

    My boy Spike passed away at age 10. But he was a very sick lizard most of his life.

    ok cool no worries was buying a 5 year old pair and dont want them to drop dead of old age a couple of years after thanks for the replies sounds like they can live a good age thanks

    wow, id love to see the size on a 25+ dragon.. my 2 yo easterns are well over 800mm lol from tip to snout.
