live birth

Does life birth occur more in Elapids or does it happen with pythons and or Culobrids????

Pythons do not give birth to live young, Boas do though. Not sure are about colubrids.

i did in a dream once, then i curled up around them and thermoregulated them aswell.... i was a python at the time....

That description farmdog might be true for the majority, but there is quit a few out there not like that. Myself included.

i belive that all members of the blacksnake family are live bearers (correct me if im wrong), death adders.... and afew other smaller species i think im a little rusty on my elapid knowledge

i will correct you :wink:

only redbellies are live bearers in the pseudechis(blacksnake family). all others lay eggs. red bellies evolved into live bearers so they can live further south than other black snakes.

other live bearing snakes include:bardicks, swamp snakes, hoplocephalus family(broad heads), tiger snakes, copperheads, roungh scaled snakes,white lipped snakes, black headed snakes, suta family, small eyed snakes and all sea snakes(not sure about sea krates, but they arnt found in oz)

What are the benifits of baring live young and are there any snakes that we know used to lay eggs who now bare live young? :shock:
