Can someone give me some info on how to get this broken lock open without having to pull my viv appart? Haha. Also where can I get a replacement lock? Is there something out there that is better quality?

Cheers.

Jahaha goodluck :)

On serious note, you have to bust it off. Same **** happened to me with exact same lock and enclosure. We had to do everything through the roof for a few months, trying not to snap the roof off :/

Here’s my post, we had to rip the insides out of the lock, and from there it all fell apart.

You have to cut a hole under the lock so
It can all slide out.

Also there’s no way to get these locks anymore and you have to makeshift your own lock :/ any door locks somewhat similar are too big for the 5mm glass

I use something similar to these on my enclosures. Just slides between the glass doors and tighten up the bolt on the back. Only really have them on there to stop little (kiddie) hands opening the enclosures up

These don’t work on swinging doors :( only option is to get a custom made “sandwich lock” that fits flush with the glass edge so both sides can meet together for a new lock.

There’s none small enough on the internet for the glass on these enclosures

Something like this

Yep... Looking at these pictures again they do seem to be opening and not sliders. Good spotting.
I had same problem as OP, my lock snapped on the inside and had to scrape inside of lock out and it fell apart

That's weird,it looks like a decent quality lock. The few swing door enclosures we have have a plastic lock, which ,touch wood, still work fine.
I can't even think of a substitute

For swing doors that you want to lock take a look in the baby section in K Mart or Big W.
I use kid proof locks on the incubator from there....might have something that could be workable.
