Wow March should be a fantastic meeting, we have the pleasure of having Dr Thomas Madsen giving two fascinating talks that should intrigue you all.

"Anthropogenic rise and fall of an isolated adder population"
and
"Isolation breeds naivety: island living robs Australian varanid lizards of toad-toxin immunity via a four-base-pair mutation"

Thomas currently is an honourary fellow at the University... of Wollongong and has over 100 publications to his name. He has worked exstensively over the years with Professor Rick Shine.

Research Interests
My research interests cover a wide range of topics, all based on a an Evolutionary Ecological approach such as:

Ageing and immunology, conservation and population genetics, population dynamics and predator – prey interactions.
