I've got a question about mites.

Does anyone know if the red spider mites that I've just found in my vegie garden can transfer to a reptile (snake) host. I seem to have rather a lot on my beans (which are ready to be pulled out anyway).

No. Very different little buggers. Nothing to worry about. Well nothing for your snakes that is. I would still be careful with anything you bring into close proximity to your snakes, because if you see one type of bug, chances are there are more.

yup, mites in the garden aren't the same - i know i'd never use the stuff we sell at work to kill spider mites to kill mites if my snakes got em hehe
