So i have a question, i am a relatively new dog owner and i have a Rottie x kelpie, i notice when he eats/bites he sometimes bites the side of his mouth as he has the jaw of a rottie so its sorta floppy and gets in his mouth sometimes, is this going to be an issue?

Probably just him getting over excited with his food mate.
Only get concerned if its starts getting red or swollen.
I've grown up around Rottis, and crosses, and have never had this issue.
