Does anyone know what type of plants Pogona vitticeps eats in the wild?
Considering they are an arid species it makes me think how its possible that they can make 80% of their diet plants

I do know they love Dandelion and Hybiscus. Not 100% sure on what else though as I just feed these with pak choy, buk choy and or wombok. Some like fruit as well but with fruit you must be careful as some fruit doesnt agree with some dragons.

Thanks
Im aware of all the typical beardie food like you suggested, but none of these are native.
So what do these guys eat in the wild???????

Did a search in Google scholar and found after reading a few scientific articles that one person noted a population which was observed to prodominately eat seeds, though it didn't identify what species they came from. That was the best I could find.

In Western NSW, all the ones i have observed feeding have been eating introduced weeds.
The flowers from Patersons Curse are a favourite of both the Beardies and Stumpies.
They will also eat the small red berries from Salt Bush.
