Hi all,

As the title says I'm considering getting a pygmy bearded, I have a spotted python and a Kreffts river turtle but have never owned a lizard. So hit me up with what would be required.

What size enclosure would I need?

Heating requirements?

Food etc?

They need a varied diet of fruit and veg and crickets dusted with multivitamin powder.

More crickets while young and then less crickets but more fruit/veg when older.

Nice and hot hot spot to bask.

They don’t need a big enclosure at all compared to regular beardies

As Bl69aze said and here is my added info as I still keep and breed these little guys:-
My guys live in separate 2x2x2 enclosures with a heat lamp and a 10UV, max temp 42C but range should be about 24-38C.You need a basking spot about 30cm from the UV.Provide a hide ,water bowl, basking branches and a sand substrate because they like to dig.
