Hi all

Much excitement here yesterday we got our first snake a tiny little childreni, my son (8) was so excited when we picked it up I thought he would explode, he has been saving for his snake for two years so it has been a long time coming, now all I have to do is stop him from picking it up every five minutes, all night he had been sneaking downstairs checking on his new pet, he will likely fall asleep in class today !!

Fantastic - enthusiasm make the world go round. Make sure he knows the importance of carefully puting snakey back and making sure there are no little openings for escape.

Well done 8)

Hi, and welcome. Sounds great. Why don't you hook him up with a user name on this site. We love talking to enthusiastic youngsters about snakes. Heck Greebo has even been kicking around the idea of starting a snake education program for kindergarten kids! Spread the love. :D

HI,congrats on the new family addition. I'm quite jealous of your new pet, we're waiting for our license to come back so we can get 2 bs beardies (cute) , maybe snakey nextime

What a great idea, snake education for the kiddies !!! will save me browsing here for ages, stick the boys on and they can find out all they need. (not that I dislike browsing on here but someone needs to peg out the washing)

Childreni?

What a great idea! Isn't that typical of the selfless people we find on this website! Good onya, Mr Greebs! Proud of ya, son!

Maybe SJ can set up a sub-site just for kids, with Greebo as the administrator? Waddyareckon, SJ? Heck, Greebs could probably be taken off the grown-up site, as he'd be so busy administering the APS Kids Site!

Three cheers for Greebo! Hip, Hip.......

Ohhh, it's a fantastic idea!
Greebs, I remember just the other day you were saying that kids were our greatest natural resource...

Yes,they are more important than coal!
I would be interested in seeing this grown up version of aps....I can't seem to find it.
You forgot to mention my english lessons as well, although I may have to bring my friend along,Corperal Punishment.
I am thinking of specialising in educating mentally challenged thirteen yr olds, bless their little hearts.

Thank you all for your messages and well wishes, I can report that our new family memeber is a o.k. I have put a lock on the cage so it can get a bit of peace and quite, my phone bill will be huge my son James has rang everybody he knows to tell them of his new pet, which still is not named, James has managed to persuade his teacher to have a snake naming competition in his class to find the "coolest name" and I am appartelty buying an ice block at the canteen for the winner. So thanks again this site has been a great help to myself and my son , all your posts and great articles have really helped me feel more confident about being able to keep our little snake happy and healthy.

Thanks Again

Diddee & James

It is great to see you doing so well with ya snake and also great to read of James' enthusiasm for it :) One thing that really moves me though is how selfless, considerate and kind our, already overworked, Greebo is with all the time and effort he puts in to educate our younger newbie members in the fine art of Taipan handling. Great inspirational stuff Greebs keep up the good work :)
