Don't know what this fellow is. It was found in his pool filter, he lives in Redland Bay btw.

I was pretty angry about this photo he sent me. His grand parents are rather oldschool and live on acreage as well. This coastal was devouring a possum at the time.

Yer my first thought was golden crown, but i know very little of elapids so I'm pretty much wrong:p
White crowns are fairly common in SEQ arn't they?

the snake in the 3rd pic looks like a White Crowned Snake, but i hardly know anything about snakes so dont take my word :p

i like the burtons, wish i could keep them down here. it is a shame about the coastal. we have the same problem down here in tassie with tiger snakes, they are the most placid of the 3 snakes we have down here and apparently the best thing to do is beat them over the head with a shovel, my brother has a saying that is educate and relocate. so as best we can we try to inform people about the snakes in hopes they won't react so harshly in the future

I think it's more of the older generation really (I mean no offence) most people I talk to just say they would leave it alone or admire it or be hell scared.

Pity about that coastal, the little fellow found in the pool filter is definitely a white crowned (cacophis harriettae).
