Cassandra’s throat goes very pink at feeding time and goes back to normal after she settles down after eating. Is that due to excitement or does the blood rush into that area in preparation for stretching to accomodate the food? This photo did not quite capture how deep pink it gets

And for something a bit different, my cat’s shellshocked face as he’s watching Cassandra eat.

When snakes eat their blood rushes through their body from their energy bursts, this appears as a pink to red tinge through majority of their body, it can also be a sign of them going into shed

That’s afat fluffy cat.very good.

She’s about 3 weeks until her next shed, so it’s probably blood rush as you said.

He’s more fluff than fat although he’s a greedy guts that would eat other cats’ food if he wasn’t watched.
