Pink Tongue Skink Sick

We have a pink tongue skink which has started frothing at the mouth and oozing clear fluid ?

Its right eye has also gone white ?

Any ideas

Don't muck about hoping it's not serious and for free vetinary medical advise on this board , YOU SHOULD take it to a herp vet IMMEDIATELY as a matter of urgency . TODAY or first thing tomorrow morning IF IT SEES THE NIGHT OUT.

The PTS needs an urgent course of powerful herp specific antibiotics (probably injections).

U will probably need to give him injections depending how bad it is

My limited experience with pet skinks (EWS and BTS) indicates they can go downhill VERY RAPIDLY if you don't get on top of this kind of illness IMMEDIATELY with proper medications and they can be dead within 24 hours of first showing symptoms. If this alarms you, good, it'll get you to take action ASAP or sooner.

I didn't know it the time , most good herp vets will see urgent cases outside usual surgery hours and have an afterhours contact number for just such emergencies.

What is a herp vet ??

'herp' comes from the term herpetology, the study of reptiles. in other words you need to find a vet that works with reptiles, even call your local vet and ask them if they work with reptiles or if they know of any vets in your region that work with reptiles.

please take action ASAP and don't waste your time asking us, you are the one in control and honestly you should have already known of any herp vets you could go to.
