Hi All,

Just wondering if you could tell me what this little frog is?
Found him at the front of my house.

Thanks,
Andy

Yeah, an eastern dwarf. Have heaps of them on our aggys down the coast. Such cute little things

They are always tiny, usually around 2.5cm max, with a thin black streak from the nostril to mid-eye and a white upper lip stripe that goes round the bottom of the eardrum and onto the shoulder. Mostly green, they can also be coloured with brown to varying degrees. The call is a distinctive clicking sound, usually from either water side vegetation or from emergent plants in water, such as bulrushes.

These guys are one of my favourites. I guess they bring back lots of fond memories of chasing them in kikuyu grass surrounding a local creek, checking them out, drop them in the water, then start again. They are also elegance in miniature.
