Preferred method of heating?

Hi guys I was wandering what everyone’s preferred method of heating was for carpets? And why? I’m currently using ceramic heat emitters with dome reflectors on top of a mesh wire roof. I’m planning to swap some of these over to a ceramic emitter inside the enclosure with a steel cage around them. Are there any more benefits of doing this compared to an emitter being inside a dome and on top of the mesh roof? Thanks!
