i hav no idea where u could get one from but the price on an elapid species is usually cheap.

Looks like i wont b getting any of these anytime soon, I sent an email to NPWS, there are only 6 held in NSW in captivity (private collections), which are held by four people :(
What makes it worse is that they are a class 1 snake

You can't get any lower than a class 1 in NSW - so if you have an NSW Reptile Keepers licence of any type then you can keep a Red Naped Snake.

Finding one is the real problem

Yea thats what i mean, they are class 1 therefore you would think that they would be common in captivity (atleast more than 6 anyway!)
I asked NPWS if I could collect a pair, but they said "its not considered appropriate to collect wild animals for private collections in NSW"
Its a shame, they are quite a nice little snake.

Try putting an add on some of the forums. You may find one available in another State.

Good Luck
