I picked up one of these dual probe thermometer/hygrometers today, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to reset it. I also have no idea what "in/out" is supposed to mean. Here is a link to the one I purchased:

Does anyone have any experience with these?

The thermometer will have a long cord with a probe on it. This probe is for giving an external reading of temperatures away from the the display itself. The display also has an inbuilt probe to measure temps at the display. If you were to set your thermometer up with the cord and probe inside an enclosure and the display on the outside you have the ability to measure the temp inside the enclosure and the room temperature on the outside where the display is situated. This is what the in/out feature is.

Thanks Wally, I figured that out after a while! Any ideas on how to reset it?

No idea. I use a different brand. Have you tried holding the in/out or max/min button in for a few seconds?

I have tried those button holding combinations but I'm not having in the luck.

SLYWLKR — that's what I ended up doing. It's a bit of a pain, though.

Thanks to both of you for the suggestions.
