I’m currently making a large paladrium to hold fish and one reptile. Does anyone know what reptiles can go in a paladrium? Was going to put a gtp in it but there not legal over here in wa. Can monitors or Stimsons go in one? A black tailed monitor would be my first pick but there’s no info about it on The web.

Obviously for a paludarium you want something from a humid environment. No, a monitor isn't going to go well (unless you wanted to get a prasinus or something, which for various reasons isn't an option), certainly not a Stimson's unless you enjoy pets with respiratory diseases.

Most WA species are arid adapted and thus unsuitable. Amphibians are the obvious choice, Chondros are specialist snakes at the best of times and a project like this adds various complications. If you're a beginner you're probably best off just not doing this, but something very tough from a humid environemtn would be a good choice if you must do it, perhaps a species of water skink.

Ok thx, quote obvious skinks and snakes would work after you mention it. Thx for the advise and I’ll check out the water skinks that are legal around here, but I think I’ll put the progeny on the back burner like you said for now, unless I settle on something like a frog. Thx
