Hi all, got a few questions. My son became very interested in lizards and as a result had captured skinks to keep and found two blue tongues. They are living in an enclosure that a friend made that is outside. It’s quite large. They are pretty friendly, healthy, eat well and seem happy but my son no longer pays attention to them. I have let the skinks go, secretly as even though he didn’t seem interested in them anymore he didn’t want to free them so they “escaped”.
My question is, would it be possible to release the blue tongues? I know exactly where one of them came from. He’s had them for a few months, would it be cruel to put them back and make them fend for them self now that they are used to not having to forage for food? I want to do the right thing by them, any advice is appreciated.
Thank you.
