Hey all, just curios about sexing beardies, are you able to get a blood sample taken and sent away to be 100% sure? Or do they not do that with beardies?

Cheers

Bearded's are really easy to sex. When you lift there tail, the female will have either no bump or 1 bump in the middle of her tail, near the vent. A mail will have 2 bumps on each side of the tail, a little further away from the vent.

Also males have a bigger head then females.

Hey Camcamcam! :)

"Generally", it would'nt be necessary to run blood tests to determine gender in Bearded Dragons, as they are quite easy to tell... At about three months of age (or more), a good breeder would be able to tell you what your dragon is, you won't need to fork out money for a vet visit to do bloods (and they wouldn't anyway!)...

Hope this helps?

Best,
Carolyn

Thank you RSPCrazy - you beat me to it! :)
