Shovel to snakes

So all these people on Facebook are saying that a local should kill a snake that has been spotted around her house. Help me prove otherwise.
People so closed minded enrage me so much. Shovel to such a beautiful animal, why would you do such a thing.

Also I identified a photo of the snake. It was a green tree snake. Nothing harmful...

oh dear.....once again so sad, no matter how much you try to educate people this is just one thing that will never change.

Anytime I hear people speaking of shoveling a snake I offer to shovel them, coming from a 6'4" tattooed and pierced guy with a lumberjacks beard they tend not to shovel the snake

Some people will listen and prepare to be educated whilst some just shut off and won't even listen. That makes it hard.

There really is not a quick fix. The long term effective solution is educating kids while they are little. Every photo you see of a kid with a python draped over their shoulders and a big cheesy grin, is a lifetime’s worth of protection.
