Hi,

Does anyone know anything about the coral snake eg husbandry, availability.

I just they're cool looking snakes and I haven't heard of them in captivity.

Thanks

Gillsy - From what i understand The Australian Coral snake is a Reptile Egg Specialist burrowing during the day and Active at Night. I dont know anybody that has kept them, but i have had the honour of coming across one near my farm...Was a real cutie too.....

I also should have mentioned that the sci name for the Australian coral snake is actually , Brachyurophis Australis, There are 4 species in the Simoselaps Genus, And Australis is not one of them.

They feed mainly on Reptile Eggs And Skinks,So they may be a difficult Species to keep for Most...

pretty sure URS had some for sale a while ago maybe you could contact them?

Cool, by the sound of it more trouble than I'm after at the moment.

however strange there on class 1 if they're a speciality feeder.

Moose with that scientific name I was going off the reptile list from npws.

Yes what names ppl use here, and what NPWS have on their list are most often two completely different names.
