I find these little guys around the house every now and then. Any ideas?

Thanks, Jonno. I would have never thought that. They are generally black on top, white underneath with the black stripes as in the photo, and very cranky. Are keelbacks black when they're young or am I finding other snakes?

nah they arnt generally one colour.
changes with locality and stuff.
i have seen them orange, black n brown.
he looks pretty tip top in shape though.

So when I find them (about two foot long) and they are black and agro, are they still keelbacks?

Thanks Slats. Next time we find one I'll send one of the kids out to check.
