Hey guys. I recently made a post about a yearling albino carpet python. With the helpful comments, i've decided to leave it for a few days and feed it next week. During this, however, I had to move the enclosure to a more safer place. I had to remove the water bowl and heat mat, and this probably stressed and agitated the poor guy (Gets into strike position more frequently). Would it be best to 'reset' the waiting cycle? Give him another 5+ days or leave it as is and feed him the following Tuesday.

If this helps. He's been moving around the enclosure, as normal. Basking on the hide and sleeping fine.

I'd definitely leave him alone for the next week or so, then offer him a feed in the enclosure. Make sure he has enough coverage (plants, hides, logs etc) so that he is able to feel safe.

What I found helpful starting out, was reading the articles by Doc Rock on Reptile Husbandry, the first 2 articles area an easy read, are really great at explaining what snakes need, in order of priority.
