All of these ideas would be PERFECT... if I didn't have to please some of the stuck up old fuddy duddy's here who have to sign off on it all..

But i'm thinking I might just get everyone to agree and take it to them.. sure if it's what majority of the staff want... and I'm sure I can get a couple of managers onside with me ;)

we have a person to choose each year last year we all hired a boat and went fishing for barra my idea.
If yi are stuck get a heap of people to write down what they would like to do and randomly pick one out of a hat or see how many of the suggestions are the same. That could help

You'll never get everyone to agree, but I think Squishis idea is good too....get everyone to make a suggestion...write them down and pick the most popular. Good luck. :)

OK. . . Here is the situation. We need to get the stiffs, out of their comfort zone, but not to far.

I was thinking of a tartan theme, (bay city rollers) stiffs can wear a small piece of tartan that they can trace back to their ancestors, while the young guns can deciede wheather to go commando or not.

Same for 80's schoolies employees can decide if they want to be a teacher, prefect, school bulley, or Britney school tart

Then again you could go with a heriatage theme, greek, chineese, irish( traditional or imaginary, yes past lives count). Personally I love a Viking fest, beer wenches and penalties for any manners.

The Phantomine Party: Ten teams who have to put on a piece of entertainment for the rest of the attandees. The fake hypnotist skit works really well.

just run the bloody ting as a trivia party, with some company related questions. (Sorry I am getting a bit pissy to think of sensiable ideas, ( or spellling)

PM me with what you go with, (& Photo's)

    Cheers Tinky

I agree with grimbeny, the mechanical bull comes with a ride operator and is cheap to hire, Everyone loves watching their boss or colleague get thrown off, or clap to a few shy girls that stay on for ageous and beat the macho guys. cause the ride operator goes gentle on em..(and no one knows) hehe
I think the zoo idea is probably out of the question, lunch and wine, boring, boat? disaster! sick people, toliet always occupied, cant escape weirdos..
Look into property's you can hire, community centres, and yeah hope its hot and stuff...get a good dj too lol

I usually hate anything like 'shows at the casino', but one year my boss took us to the casino at the Gold Coast (is that Jupiter's?) for dinner and the show, and it was bloody terrific!
Can't remember what particular show it was, and of course, they are always changing, but it was a good night and the show was great!
Although there was only about 10-12 of us, and catering for up to 140 does make it a bit difficult.

If they start being difficult an poo poo your ideas, then tel them that you have volenteered the companee employees services to run a soup kitchen for the homless as your christmass event, so that you can give back to the community in the christmass spirit, rather than have a self indulgent drinking session.
