Hi,
Well about 70 days ago my thick-tailed laid an egg and i got it into the incubator in time finally. Now it is nearly time for the little one to hatch but i have no idea how to look after the little hatchling as this is my first successful thick-tail egg.
So what setup am i best to provide?
What will it eat and when will it start to eat? Is it small crickets from the word go or a few days after hatching?
Should i put it back in with mum and dad or will they just eat it? I'm thinking they will but want to check.
What temperature and humidity should the tank be set at for a baby? same as the adults?
Am i better off with a heat mat or a heat lamp for a baby?
Is there any suppliments i need to be giving the little one?

And anything else you can think of as i am so nervous with this little one.
Gosh dragons are so much easier...

Thanks.

A simple tub with sand and some hides will suffice.

Give it a few days and allow it to shed before offeringpinhead-small sized crickets.

House it on its own or with any siblings it may have.

Similar temp regimes to that of the adults.

Feed with calcium dusting on every 2nd or 3rd feed.
