rescued this guy from my pool
looks like a yellow-bellied three-toed skink, tho it doesn't have a yellow belly and seems small, maybe a juvenile?
Is extremely similar to Saiphos but is it is actually an Eastern Three-toed Earless Skink (Hemiergis talbingoensis) - based on the paler greyish-brown flanks which are lighter than the dorsum, and darker in Saiphos, stronger dorsal markings (which coalesce on the tail), and the ventral colouration. The subspecies in your area is H. t. davisi.
thank you so much !!
