Hey, Hatched 2 blackheads on the 5/12/13 I'm having trouble getting them to eat its been quite sometime now so I'm getting worried.

They seem to lunge at the food but always miss or they will try to lunge for my hand instead
completely ignoring the food or they bite the food then let go.

I've tried waving moving it around the sides of the head.
I've tried leaving it in there overnight.
I've tried braining (Pinkie Mice).
Also tried scenting the pinkie mouse by rubbing it on live mice.

Thanks in Advanced

Luke

Try bigger food item so when they stole they grab it... Pinkie way to small

As suggested, try bigger food items, ie fuzzy/velvet mice. My Womas were much the same, I found that they struck in defence rather than a feeding response. It wasn't until I wet the head of the fuzzy mouse and dipped it in trimmed off day old chick feathers that they showed as actual feeding response and struck and held on to the food.
