A TEENAGER in the Northern Territory has been left traumatised after a dog, standing only centimetres from him in water, was taken by a crocodile.

Saw a pigdog get taken by a big croc when I was living in Darwin. Heard a loud yelp, turned around and the dog was being dragged head first under water. It was a horrible thing to see, I'm glad it wasn't my dog or I would have been scarred for life! No blood, it was the blood curdling yelping that got to me.
