Townwater vs Rainwater

is there any bad or good affects on keeping a snake and bluey and turtle on townwater and then changing to pure filtered rain water thanks guys

G'day mate, my reply to this will only be in regards to your turtle as this is where I'm most experienced.. pure filtered rainwater is probably the worst thing for an aquatic turtle as it's extremely soft (acidic) and contains no minerals and trace elements. Unless you buffer the pH, KH and GH with calgrit (calcium carbonate) and use sea salt at the rate of 4-5g/litre, you're better off using treated tap water for your turtle's aquarium.
