Turtle biting me

just wondering, how can i get my turtle from trying to bite me?

It depends why it is attacking you. My long neck attacks every time because I hand fed it for about 3 months when I first got it and now it doesn't know what food looks is and gets its food by missing my fingers and grabbing it after about three painful tries. If it attacks you just because it hates you maybe it is getting stressed out.

its just when i put my hands in the tank to pick it up, or when im holding it and when im hand feeding him, he goes for my fingers before he goes for the food

lol why do u care if ur turtle bites u. it doesnt hurt. mine crawls up out of the water and trys to attack me.
