My jungle python has this unusual marking on her head. I just noticed it recently.

She did shed 3-4weeks ago , would this be skin that has stayed and rotted?

Should i be on safe side and take her to a vet? Her personality/attitude has not differ from this.

I can take better photos if needed.

Thanks

I would say take it to a vet, kind of looks like a burn, what type of heating do you have?

A caged light bulb but it hasn't been on since October/November due to summer season. There is a heat cord with thermostat beneath a tile.

looks like it may be due to rubbing against the enclosure just like a callous,my bredli gets one just like it over breeding season then it fades gradually over summer.

She hasn't quite reach adult hood yet. She almost 2 years old
