Hi All
I am about to start lining my new enclosure. I thought about using old timber fence pallings sealed ofcourse. The idea is to make it look like an old timber shed/shack.
Is this timber alright to use ? I do remember something about ****nic being used in fences to stop white ants.
any help would be great.
dimensions are 1800mm high 1600mm long 800mm deep
cheers

If they are old hardwood pailings they should be fine .
Treated pine ones I would not use them .

Thanks dickynee
I will definately use hardwood.
is there a certain sealer that should be used (non toxic to snakes)
cheers

theres a water based estapol type of thing called cabots crystal clear, after a couple of days it doesnt smell at all,....!!! :)
i find normal estapol smells a for ages,...especially when theres heat lights on it,...!!

That should look nice. Our local wildlife park has their red belly enclosure set up to look like a rundown shed, using fence palings. looks great.
