RE: REPTILE VET

Got no reptile vets anywhere even remotely close to me so have had to work out any problems myself with a lot of questions to Highly experienced herpers as well as having the book "WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY SNAKE" has been the best help and i recommend everybody buys this book,it can save a lot of time and money.I recently had a strange problem with one of my capes ,it had something similar to a burn on part of the belly scales but wasn't a burn and was weeping,so i checked the book, rang a mate, got his suggestions and then rang Teri Belemy who had a few other suggestion and is a very knowledgable Herp Vet from what i could gather and she also reinforced my mates suggestion.I applied topical betadine a couple of times a day and within a week all dried up and healed and no sign of scarring etc after 2 sheds...

David Vella is really good with all herps. There is nothing he won't look at including turtles. I have had the fortune of being able to take a few WIRES rescues to him over the past few weeks including a diamond, two blue tongues and an extremely sick coastal that I confiscated of a person due to its extremely bad health. Unfortunately we had to put one blue tongue down as it had been hit across the back of the head with a blunt instrument cracking it's skull but unfortunatley the main problem was both of his eyes were beyond help. We had to put him to sleep. :( The rest however are getting along really well with the help of David. A big thanks to him.

Saw Bob Donnelly at Queensland University in St Lucia yesterday. He comes down from Toowoomba on Tuesdays. He was very good, gave 2 of my Diamonds a health check and sexing. He confirmed for me that my Diamond named Lucy should now be called Lucifer. (Its a boy not a girl).
I would recommend him to anyone in Bris or Toowoomba.
To make an appoint in Bris phone the Small Animal clinic at the University.

I take all my reps to Bob. I even travel to his clinic in Toowoomba if I have to. Great guy, has been wonderful to deal with and very open. Not afraid to talk to you either and explain what he is doing and why. He keeps you informed each step of the way.

I have had two major cases go to him and he follows up and has sent me literature about each diagnosis so I can understand it too.

Can't recommend him enough. Definately a thumbs up. :)
