I get standard 4 foot tanks for $105.00 complete with cover glasses. You don't need the divider you can just partition the tank with a row of rocks and just gravel in one half.

I'm in Melbourne but you should get the price from Aquarium shops anywhere, it's not that special, in fact there is a guy down here that sells 'em for $80.00.

OK so with my tank should i ask for a cheaper price?
and my tank is for frogs you no that dont you?thats why i have the divider in...

ok i have changed this post now its not a waist!

african what happens when you want to change the water that would b a prob wouldnt it? :?

Yeah, I know you want the tank for frogs. What you do is get a pile of rocks and silicone them together to make a removable divider. Let the silicone,(aquarium grade), dry for a couple of days and put it in the tank half way along and fill one half only with gravel. when you fill the other half with water it will seep through into the gravel 1/2 of the tank keeping everything nice and moist. If your species of frog needs heating you can use a low wattage aquarium heater in the water filled 1/2 of the tank but put a heater guard on it to stop little froggies from burning themselves. Get a piece of driftwood or bogwood and drill it up the centre so you can put a tube up through it from your filter pump. The water gets sucked into the filter, cleaned and then pumped up the tube and trickles back down the wood onto the dry, (moist), side of the tank where the gravel acts as a secondary trickle filter providing the aerobic bacteria necessary to help combat the ammonia and Nitrite levels produced by high waste producing aquatic animals such as frogs. an ultra violet lamp should be provided for the best welfare of your little froggies but if you do this you will have to discard the tank cover glass and provide a tight fitting mesh top to the tank as glass filters out the U.V. rays. Dont place the fitting beneath the glass tops as the frogs WILL get into it and either fry themselves or electrocute themselves.
OK, I answered, now I think you owe me a deletion in the other forum??

Hey all my new tank is coming for the frogs and i am thinking about getting another tank the same size as the other because i can get it even cheaper and buying some tree frogs what type do yous think i should get my region is Brisbane so that should be ware the frog is coming from i only have a recreational licence so it would be apropiate if they were for that specific licience ok!

Need to no asap because my new tank is ariving next friday...

Try a search engine to find websites on your subjects or perhaps join an amphibian forum. Not many people in here study or keep frogs so it may be more beneficial to you to try a frog related link.Try www.kingsnake.com

I have priced the filter it is $20 for one that is about 4inches long..
i also piced some other stuff...
Gravel $13.95 for 10 kilo bag
and for $7.95 a 5 kilo bag...
fake plants $2.95 per plant...
5mm tube $1.50 per metre...
8 inch light $20.00...
Thats all...............

Hey matty boy, just be careful what light you buy cos U.V. tubes are only available in certain sizes. make sure before you buy it that the fitting is the right size to take a U.V. tube. Also, an 8 inch fitting would not give enough U.V. to provide the animals with what they need in a 3 foot tank.

But i thought that frogs dont need heat i am just putting 1 or 2 of them in so it will give me some light so watch then...

re frogs - here is a link for you matt

Good grief Matt, I realise everyone has to start somewhere but you are becoming even more frustrating than my 5 year old, though at least she doesn't ask herp questions. (she would put most adults to shame with her knowledge, like a little sponge :D )

I have a friend called Craig Latta that has a site and am sure there are tons of people that could help you, his wife Gab works at the zoo and they specialise in frogs and turtles. If no-body minds here is a link to their site http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AustralianFreshwaterTurtlesandFrogs/

I think there comes a time where you just have to toss a coin and make a decision. Setting up enclosures are really a personal thing, something you loathe, someone else may love. Unfortunately pythons and frogs do not have too much in common apart from the type of people that keep them :)

please don't be mean to me, I'm over 30 and very fragile  NOT

cheers
