I wonder if I'm in the minority for preferring the yellow on the SA?

I've actually never seen a wild juvenile Heath Monitor, only adults. I did once see a juvenile Black Headed Monitor when I was a kid, but that was an accident as we were chopping fire wood and this little lizard squirmed out beneath the bark to escape the chainsaw. Unfortunately three of it's limbs and most of its tail had been severed. It didn't make it.

What area was the WA Heath, IV?

I've posted these pictures before, but they're both WA animals.

@vampstorso ; I too love the yellow on black, in most monitors actually:).

Not my pic, Oshkii, I should have mentioned that earlier, my bad. Uncertain of the area it's from in particular. Thanks for the share re adult WA's, they do appear to be darker as adults than many of the SA form; interesting stuff:).
