What type of snake was it? PLEASE HELP

Hey guys,
Me and my dad were driving home one night when we spotted a small reptile. At first look by the way it was moving it seemed to be a legless lizard but when I got close to it I found out that it was a small juvenile snake.... It looked a bit like a jellow face whip snake but it didnt have any black marks on its eyes, although its head was fairly dark in colour and had a yellow-ish colour to the body, it had a yellow band on the back of its head.... it was also quite a angry snake as when i did get close to it it rasied up and had a go at me.... It was around 25 to 30 centimeters in length... Please help me... :?

Without pictures to accurately identify it, I would hazard a guess at a Dwarf Crowned snake. Where abouts did you see it as that could also help with the identification.

Have a read through the below thread and compare the pictures to what you saw and let us know.

Yes thankyou!! I just looked up the dwarf crowned snake and it was the same type of snake thank you a heap!! :d
