Greetings all.
Long time no see, I have been away from this site for a while now, and am back asking for help and opinions on my latest wildlife rescue.
I attended a call out yesterday, of a woman who had found a turtle in her back yard.
No mwater courses in her vacinity, so i was perplexed to find a MRT. At first i thought it must have been dropped by a bird, but the size of the turtle, (large) and the absence of cracks or damage to the carapice have led me to rule this out.

The stranger thing being that this turtle has a metal tag on one of his back feet, with a tagging number, and i susspect he may be one of the bred to release turtles from the repopulation scheme of a ferw years ago.

I am asking for any info or direction as to the data regarding the repopulation of the Murrary turtle, and find where this notched and tagged little dude should be, and how he came to be in a suburban back yard.

All info is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.
Pythoness..

I am sorry but are you saying it is a Mary River turtle?

If so contact Craig and Gabrielle Latta at their turtle website.
