bloody hell.

new box, new drama.

These ceramics fittings have no earth connector.

I've seen the diagram for the imit wiring and followed it to the letter, but alas these things can't be connected to the earth.

Now... should i throw them away, or can someone help me wire them in right.

This is how i've done it,

get a sparky to do it. lol good luck.

if i had the money for a sparky to do it, i wouldn't have wasted it on these magic beans now would i ? :)

Besides i feel it's a personal attack on my manhood that i can't wire a light.

*grumble*

i never earthed mine andit is working fine just attach pos and neg and it should go

Yeah you are only meant to use a 2 wire plug for most ceramics that i have seen.
Just make sure you connect the terminals right!

there is no need to earth casue it is not a metal fitting...

I presume that "earth out" wire was going to be connected to the light? Get rid of it, you don't need it, just connect the "earth in" as it already is. Then connect both the neutral wire from your main lead, and the "active out" wire from the IMIT, to the ceramic fitting.
