Hi guys,

Can you please ID this snake skin found in my friend's car this afternoon? He has two small children that he's worried about. These are the only photos I have at this stage.

It's a bit hard to tell what it is with the skin all buckled up like that. Do you still have the skin? If so, can you spread the skin out on the head and rephotograph it and also show us photos of the subcaudal scales and ventrals?
It looks like the owner of the skin was fairly dark in colour but apart from that I'd be guessing.

i like the photos with the glove,is that for protection?lol

,no elapid has that many scales, bit hard to give an ID cant even see the head scales clearly

actually after a bit of a think it looks Anteresia,or Liasis? its not a local species to wollongong

Unfortunately he is in Wollongong, whilst I'm in Melbourne, so I have to rely on his photos.
