Anyone got any tips on sanitizing branches that r to big to fit in my oven

Should be ok, or an outdoor table. Anywhere in the sun for a couple days if you are worried about bugs.
A simple visual inspection should be enough. Clean up the branch, and put it into the tank. Has always worked for us.

@Cruisin48. Just wondering what you meant by ‘sanitising’ – general cleaning, getting rid of any resident invertebrates or sterilising to kill microorganisms? The latter is not necessary, as reptiles live on and in branches day and night in nature. To get rid of creepy crawlies you don’t want escaping into the house, a strong jet of water from the hose is very effective, then sit the branch up on chair or the clothes line where the sun and wind can dry it out without any occupants returning.

If you are worried it may have wood borers or the like in holes that the hose cannot remove them from, and you really want to use that particular piece of wood, then it can be ‘solar sterilised’. After washing it and while it is still wet, place in a large heavy duty black plastic bin bag. Seal the opening to get it as airtight as possible and place in direct sunlight all day, preferably on concrete or paving, for several days. This will kill anything living without having to use any chemicals.
