I just got this email from a friend - I was quite amazed at the outcome of this video.

yea theres one part at the end that looked a bit odd but far out....
that is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think those stunt planes are just like toys - I also thought it looked a bit fake.... If it is - it's a good fake.. if it's not... HOLY HELL MACARONI!

if it is real i wonder how those people have the guts to fly again, that would be enough to put me off for life!

I'm calling that a fake. I'm disappointed in you Slimy! Where were your critical glasses?

look at about 0.16 right before the wing comes off the plane goes off screen?? then looks diff?

actually after watching it again i think its real watch it a few times then see what u think

Waru.... sorry to disappoint you :(

Ok... well.. In January 2001 my cousin was flying a Polish single engine plane (can't recall the name of it) over the crowded new years beaches of Auckland Harbour.

He was towing an advertising banner.

Everything was perfect. Not a cloud in the sky. Beaches packed, almost no wind... The tide was low and the engine in the plane seized - ok.. so maybe not so perfect.

He dropped the banner quickly because there was no way the plane was going to start. There were two people in the plane. My cousin continued to navigate the plane knowing he didn't have the altitude to get to any local airport or grass strip.

Auckland is very hilly as well, so finding a flat spot to land on the busiest weeks of the year (New Years)

The only thought was to hope like hell and ditch the plane in the water.

Losing altitude and slowing the plane down they tried to navigate into a busy part of the water so if they did suffer injuries there wouldn't be long before someone would rescue them. It all seemed well planned - but knowing they wouldn't be getting out of this without a scratch.

As they lowered even more altitude Tony (my cousin) noticed that the mudflats around Devonport were empty of people (they're not really that pretty) and might be a good place to ditch the plane.

Now this took skill!

No engine... The correct loss of altitude and only about 40m of mud to land on....

The plane stopped within 10m of landing - almost in slow motion. The plane just up ended and stopped almost upside down.

He was as lucky as they come - and was quickly greeted by rescuers.

Not a scratch on him...

So it is possible - and it does happen... But... Is this one for real?

This is what did it for me, the camera work when the plane had both wings was pretty good it was nice and smooth and in focus. Then suddenly after the plane dips out of view the wing falls off and the quality of the film changes the plane isn't kept in view very well and it is out of focus 80% of the time. Then when it lands the wheels have no shadow.

Have a look at the next video along, i think this one is a copy of that. Even the sound is the same.

tht a good spotting mate

But i just watched a better quality version and i saw the wheel shadows so there goes that theory. lol. But i still think it is a copy of the RC stunt plane.

i noticed that too war, and it also is always on the plane when its got both wings but keeps going on and off it when it doesnt

i still have a feeling it might be real tho

Oh i want to watch it so badly! Tafe blocks youtube content. Stupid education system.

your not a detective Waruikazi are you ? LOL
very observant

What's KillaThrill?

I know what killer Krill is.... But not to up with this advert campaign....

Are you absolutely 100% totally positive that it's a fake?

It's just the last seconds when it lands that's when I become unconvinced - all the way up till that it's purely real in my mind.
