how do u know if u got a broken hand with out xrays any photos i think i broke my hand or fractured of chipped because the bone is out of place and i am getting pains on an angle :?

Basically you'll have pain and severe lack of movement, swelling and disfigurement.
Just go get an xray , there free at public hospitals and they'll put a cast on as well or give you info on healing it. If you leave it , it could heal wrongly and you will be left with disfigurement and lack of movement.

Break the other one and compare it - that's usually how I do it.

I think perhaps a trip to the 24 hour A&E wouldn't do any harm. If the bone begins to heal out of place (assuming it is broken) it can cause a lot more troubles later down the track - perhaps err on the side of caution.

Now people don't just want herps diagnosed, they want humans ailments diagnosed also!
Come on, go to the doctor or accident & emergency, they are qualified to give an opinion, we arnt!

I broke my foot once and x-rays showed nothing, 6 weeks later I was still in pain so had an ultra sound done and it showed what the x-ray couldn't, a green fracture. Often small fractures can't be seen on x-ray. There was nothing to be done about it unfortunately.

No seriously, the advice given already is the way to go.......... get yourself off to A&E.......... it's the only way to get it fixed!

Go to the doctors or hospital, what is the point in putting a thread up about it, seriously? Geez, I know if I suspected I had a broken hand I wouldn't sit down on APS and ask herpers whether or not I had a broken hand...I'd go see a doctor that could tell me for sure!!

i had a broken foot for four weeks before i realised it was actually broken, sometimes you just get used to the pain and dont realise, my advice would be for you to go and get it checked out!!
