You should be more concerned about it feeding then getting it used to you. Stress can be a big factor for not eating. Try actually leaving it alone, it may just help.

and the reason i look up alternates on uv is because we arent the kind that can afford to run a uv light but the heating is done by 2 50 wat desk lamps an later on gettin a hot water bottle for wen i go out cos the mulch can catch on fire ive been told

ok well il give that a go but i read a few posts above that it wont eat for a few weeks now im realy worried

UV lights can be bought in 40w, 50w, etc. That's less than 2 x 50w desk lamps, plus it's more beneficial, and not as bright on your eyes.
Mulch probably wouldn't be the best substrate either (if you're referring to lawn clipping mulch, anyway).

thanks every one i realy appreciate all the help and i hope most of it works cos i dont want them to suffer

nah nah its ucalyptis mulch its got no chems in it an i think they like it cos they always bury them selves in it

Eucalyptus is extremely flammable, so although it may seem like a nice choice it's probably a little bit more dangerous than you think.
Also, I'm guessing that this is mulch you've gathered from around some Eucalyptus trees? If so, has it been soaked in water for 2 days and then dried out before putting it in there? This is recommended before using any natural decorations, etc.

Anyway, I'm sure the issue isn't the substrate here, it sounds like your baby isn't eating because of stress more than anything.

put up some pics of the little guy, if he is healthy then you can try raw egg yolk as it works a treat.

now isnt that a better answer then what i got , when asking if u were running a uv light - and not that i ever said you should run one .... "there is no way in hell im gunna run a uv light an i am running a heat lamp the enclosure is 4 foot by 2 foot with 3 foot deep an half foot deep of non chemical mulch an about the uv light i read that 1 hour of natural sun a week is better than fake crap running 24/7 for a bluey"

hey guys good news it went all godzilla on a crickets *** but hasent toutched the worms yet

We used to feed our worms to our bubs with tweezers. Sometimes they just don't take that much notice of them when they're on the ground, but when they're wriggling around in front of him it might stimulate a feeding response. And just remember - no handling for a while. Try giving him a few more crickets and worry about trying veg as well in a few more days.

get rid of the mulch. In my opinion - the breeder choice or dr Harrys kitty litter (recycled paper) is the best choice - however there are other choices for substrate.

As others have said - leave the guy alone for a while.

You have 2x 50Watt Globes? 1x 75Watt globe should do the trick for a basking area - but it also depends on the enclosure and the room it's kept in.

Crickets and mealies have very little nutritional value.

Also if you have 2 in the one enclosure it could be a reason for your little guy not eating. In saying that though - I keep multiple blueys together and they feed fine - so just keep an eye out for any domination.

There's quite a large size difference there. That may be contributing to his stress. Which I believe to be the cause of him not eating.

How long have these guys known each other?

they also ignore eachother. the big one just sits in his hide an the little one is either under the light or in its hollow rock
