one happy monitor, Bronsen

Priceless!!

the back pannel is a 1800 x 1200 sheet, paint was just solar guard black gloss

thats a quick an easy build. well done.
did you have to use a panel saw to cut the wood?

I have a table saw but i just got the guys at bunnings to knock it up for me as I couldnt fit a 2400 sheet in my truck
the whole thing is made from 2 2400x1200 sheets

awesome build. cant beat the diy projects. how does the ply compare in weight to chipboard? i guess the main benefit is the strength aswell right?

yeah I needed to stack cages ontop of it so I went for the ply!
I was actually planning to use form ply so I didnt have to paint it but they ran out

Crafty young man, want to build me four? I'll pay you in love.

I'm just repeating what everyone else already said... but great work!
:D

$253 for glass??
Too expenaive mate!

i would have thought for the size it is covering, (roughly 1800 x 1200) that the price is quite reasonable, as it wouldn't be 4mm standard glass...

I've just bought 10 pieces of 400mm x 380mm x 5mm standard glass, polished edge (not ground) for a cost of $132... and that was one of the cheaper places. no finger grooves - they wanted to charge an extra $10 per piece for them, adding another $110 to the cost ..

maybe we could start a sticky or wiki with recommended suppliers and costing of supplies we have bought,

Austral Glass for all that, super cheap and done the same day usually :) otherwise Bunnings for everything else!
