Harold Cogger 7th ed.

Hey does anybody have any updates on Harold Coggers 7th ed? I heard it may be published before christmas...

I have heard it from a few people, but cant find anything about it on the web. Apparently the guy from Herp Books told one of my friends.

Last I heard, Harold Cogger would never issue another version of the book due to personal reasons. However, times and people change, although I know Harold has been fairly ill in recent times, I hope he is doing better.

There is definately a 7th ed on its way. Apparently it is already at the publishers (CSIRO). Just not sure about the publication date.

Next year at the earliest I heard, but that old chestnut has being doing the rounds for 3 or so years now.

It's great to hear that we are definitely going to be getting a new edition of the bible soon. Already at the publishers eh! That's fantastic news! This time I'm going to buy a few copies hot of the press. I can't wait!

Hi all,

No one knows the exact release date. But it is thought to be early to mid 2013. Problem is with release dates is they keep getting put back. Eg reptiles of Victoria was meant to be out in 2007 and is still awaiting publication.

The publishers have "most of the material". That means it's not only up to them, it also depends when the author supplies the rest of the material. I guess that's what they're waiting for.

I got a 6th ed in perfect condition for $600. They are getting harder to find in good condition.
