hey guys so i was thinking about getting an Ackie Monitor or two, i have bearded dragons and have a three stack enclosure and am going to build a new one in the coming new year, which will have three enclosures stacked on top of each other 1200x600x600mm just wondering would the Ackie Monitor be ok in that sized tank? also do you guys use thermostats in their enclosures?

this is my set up at the moment.

Nice work! One ackie will be fine in that size tank, as long as you give it plenty to climb on and dig in. And we don't use thermostats with any of our monitors. With our ackies, we have built tile stacks, so they can self-regulate their temps. We just use the 100w Philips globes from Bunnings in our single tank, and use PAR38's in our big 6 ft glass tank that has 3 in it.

Oh sweet I wasn't on planning having a thermostat anyway, I'm going to get a rock wall add some shelve, logs, cork bark and some tunnels as well as a tile stack

I know people use different things as substrate, but we just use the same play sand as the beardies, and while the ackies can dig in it, they can't tunnel, so we have just added some of the white plastic pipe with elbow joins on each end. Our single red ackie loves to hide away and sleep in his.
