hey ,
i have just bought an albino darwin . its probing 5-6 on side and 8-9 the other. you would think it was most liklt a male. but the guy i bought it off says his snakes probe deeper then usally and he says it a female???? so i dont know

So a yearling? I'd be saying male but if you aren't a confident prober with carpets and it is a hatchling (i always found them tricky) there is a possibility that you have pushed through into the flesh.

If you get different depth on one side and the other, there is something wrong with the probing technique or the snake is not relaxed enough or it's a male the there is a blockage on one side. It's best to probe snakes after slough.
