Apparently this guy cruised through my parent's neighbors yard earlier today. They thought it was a wild snake so they relocated it to the eltham copperbanded butterfly reserve near by. I only found out about this about an hour ago as I'm in WA. Anyhow here's a picture of the snake and roughly where i believe it was released. Happy hunting. It was released near 10 gum hill court eltham victoria.

I'd go looking for it myself but I'm very far away. Hopefully this helps someone.

Regards,

Andrew

Gee whiz, that's one sorry looking snake! The only reason I'd go looking for that poor thing was to euthenase the poor critter.

Yeah fair enough John. If I was still in melbourne I would have grabbed it.

Yeah, certainly not a criticism of yourself. Not your snake and you're not in town.

Don't worry I hadn't taken your comment like that at all. Sadly I agree with you, it's probably well past saving. I would not have been pleased to have had to euthanize it but it would have likely been required.
